Levonte Hyde, Beloved Son and Friend, Tragically Dies in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Age of 30
Cincinnati, Ohio – The city of Cincinnati, and especially the College Hill neighborhood, is in mourning after the tragic death of 30-year-old Levonte Hyde, known to his friends and family as “Levonte Thebully.”
Hyde was fatally shot on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the early hours of the morning, around 12:30 a.m., on the 1600 block of Pasadena Avenue.
Cincinnati Police responded to reports of gunfire, and upon arriving at the scene, they found Hyde severely wounded. He was quickly rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but tragically succumbed to his injuries despite the best efforts of medical professionals.
Family and friends expressed their grief on social media, with Destiny Simpson posting, “Baby, I’m so sorry. I love you forever. This world is so unfair."
Moe Elizabeth added, “Prayers being sent your way. I’m sorry for your loss.”
As of now, authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting and have not released any further details.
Hyde's death has left an unfillable void in the hearts of his loved ones and the College Hill community, who will remember him for his vibrant personality and the lasting mark he made on everyone around him.
