Latasha Taylor, 42-Year-Old Jacksonville Woman Tragically Shot in Head During Violent Confrontation
Jacksonville, Florida – Latasha Taylor, a beloved mother and wife, tragically passed away after being shot in the head during a violent altercation on February 17, 2025.
Taylor, 42, had been in a car with her cousin when they were ambushed by a woman, later identified as 38-year-old Latorray Collins, who was reportedly seeking revenge after a breakup with Taylor's cousin.
The confrontation took place in Jacksonville, where Collins allegedly blocked her ex’s vehicle and approached the passenger side, where Taylor was sitting. After a heated exchange, Collins reportedly fired a gun, striking Taylor in the head.
Latasha Taylor was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite initial signs of improvement, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Her husband, Tony Taylor, shared his grief, revealing that they had been preparing to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. He described his late wife as "a great mother and a great wife," adding, “She always puts other people before herself.”
