Bridgewater, New Jersey – Karl Cochran, the beloved guitarist and songwriter, tragically passed away in a car accident on February 20, 2025. He was a cherished resident of Bridgewater, New Jersey, and his untimely death has left his family, friends, and fans in deep shock and sorrow.
Karl’s musical legacy is etched in the hearts of many. He was widely respected for his work with iconic bands, including KISS’ Ace Frehley, co-writing “Into The Void” for the “Psycho Circus” album. His collaborations with Joe Lynn Turner, Nuclear Assault, and The Eric Singer Project solidified his place in rock and roll history. However, it was not just his musical talents that endeared him to those who knew him; it was his kindness, sense of humor, and loyalty as a friend.
For the past five to six years, Karl shared daily 6:00 AM phone calls with his dear friend, Robert J. Gaydos, who fondly remembers their conversations about music, sports, and life. "You will always be my platinum star up there, my friend, and you will be dearly missed," Robert wrote in his tribute.
Karl also faced great adversity with resilience, having battled through a serious stroke in 2014. His remarkable recovery and positive spirit inspired many who knew him.
Karl is survived by his devoted wife, Geri, and their daughter, Arna. His absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family and everyone whose life he touched.
