Emily Chung, Talented Chantilly High School Student, Passes Away After Tragic Skiing Accident in Fairfax, Virginia
Fairfax, Virginia – Emily Chung, a cherished student at Chantilly High School, tragically passed away on February 17, 2025, following a skiing accident on February 15, 2025.
Despite immediate medical care, Emily’s injuries proved fatal, and her untimely death has left her family, friends, and the entire school community heartbroken.
A standout in both academics and the arts, Emily had recently been recognized for her artwork in the 2025 Regional Scholastic Art Awards, where students from Fairfax County earned numerous accolades.
She was also deeply involved in extracurricular activities, showing a genuine commitment to helping others through her participation in school clubs and community service.
Emily’s vibrant spirit and dedication to making a difference touched the lives of many, and her absence will be keenly felt by those who knew her.
A memorial service to honor Emily’s life will be held on February 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Fairfax Community Center.
The family has requested privacy during this difficult time and is deeply grateful for the support they have received. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Emily Chung Art Scholarship Fund are encouraged, to help continue her legacy of nurturing young artists at Chantilly High School.
